A warehouse change can alter routing and inland delivery cost. Obtain the current shipment plan before finalizing transport. Confirm whether separate destinations require separate consignments and labels.
Identify preparation work
Receiving, consolidation, repacking and labeling support can add cost before export. Agree the tasks and responsibility for label data. Correct preparation helps avoid paying freight on stock that cannot be received as intended.
Compare transport on equal terms
Ask air and sea quotes to include the same pickup, customs and warehouse-delivery scope. Duties and taxes must be explicitly addressed. Appointment, pallet and special receiving requirements should be disclosed before booking.
Connect freight cost with stock timing
A cheaper transport plan can be less useful if it arrives after a stockout. Compare a smaller urgent batch with the remaining order by sea. Allow for Amazon receiving after physical delivery when deciding the inventory buffer.
